I always have to remember that this isn't my moms child and I shouldn't let her get me upset. told her that my daughter's name will most likely be Stephanie Marie Belton she shakes her head no and says Aniyah is pretty. I said Stephanie has more meaning she says to who? why are you being so hateful? if I was in my bfs shoes I'd want to name my daughter after my mom. it's so annoying cause my bf is so worried about them doing exactly what she did. it's even worse cause the other day my bf says if my grandmother ever passed and we had another child after that he wants to name them after her. he straight up said the boys name would be Brendan Lee (her name is Brenda Lee) so why can't my mother be more understanding and quit trying to run the show?

A lot of parents are like that. I'm worried about it with my mom too. They feel like since they've already raised kids they get to tell you what to do with yours 😑. It's important to set those boundries now because you don't want to be having those fights later down the line when the baby is here.

my mom is doing it too, she back seat parents and trys too tell me how its going to be and what's going to happen and my daughter isn't here yet its driving me insane too.

@aniyahsmommy_0623, yes i am and she says that because she has done it before for me to just let her have her way like i respect her opinion but she doesnt respect mine so really her and i are about to bump heads because she wont stop
