If I haven't lost my mucus plug, does that mean there is no chance I have softened or dilated?

I lost my mucous plug two weeks ago, my cervix is only 60% effaced and im not dilated at all so I don't really think it matters

When I had my first I didn't dilate or soften until the day I was in labor 23.5 hours later my baby boy was born 4 years ago 😂

nope note at all. I'm only 28 weeks and my cervix is now softened but I'm no dilated and haven't lost my mucus plug.
