When you went on leave how did you and your significant other keep up on bills? I'm just curious, I'm doing my best to save up now and pay some stuff off.

We saved up before hand and he picked up more hours at work. It's been really hard /:

I guess that's the only thing I can do, I'm not trying to be on leave for too long but I do need to be prepared. @kparis

I'm not sure if your state does, but NY gives disability when you are out on leave. It's not much but it's a little bit.

I'm the breadwinner and my husband is a full time college student. We saved up during my pregnancy and had to pull from savings to pay bills.

I'm taking a 12 weeks leave I just had to sign up for short term disability its pays 60% of ur pay its not much but it helps
