Who gives their baby cereal? When did you start? Do you mix with formula? My baby is two months and everyone is telling me to give her some... Thoughts?
@kia, Ethan's pediatrician at his 8 weeks check up wants me to give him rice cereal every other day. He spits up a lot and want to see if the volume helps with that. He's never taken a bottle so I'm yet to try it. She said mix it with the breast milk to desired consistency. Keeping in mind that the nipple is stage 1.
Started my daughter at 4 months, because she was alwaaaysss hungry. so it would make her fuller lol I put it in her bottle
I didn't with my daughter until about 4 months and it was by spoon. Putting in there bottle can cause excess weight gain and stomach issues.
@kia, it isn't too early you can start her off with tea spoon of rice if you want before bed and in the morning for breakfast
i started my son when he was two months and just put it in his bottle now that he is spoon fed i just mix his formula in it
its too early, and just empty calories, just good if baby isnt gaining weight!
Most pediatricians won't even recommend it until 3/4 months. The general rule is 6 months- some people do give it earlier because they believe the extra food in their belly will make them sleep longer at night. I'd check with your pediatrician before making any decisions.
She sales did say he is still young but she wants to see if there's a difference. @kia
