I am one month postpartum and I am breastfeeding my daughter. I have to think about when I go back to work so I'm trying to stock up on milk. How much milk for you guys produce? And also I get so frustrated because I try to pump and then she gets hungry but I have no milk to try to give to her how do I handle this?

I was going through the same thing. I talked to a lactation consultant and they said pump 15 mins after you breast feed. Do that every time you feed your baby. Your milk supply will go up and I pumped around 1-2 ounces every time but when I did that I got around 10 ounces every time. Also make sure you have a great pump. The lactation consultant said that if you don't have a good pump then it basically isn't doing anything for your supply.

I don't have a very good pump maybe I just need to bite the bullet and pay for an expensive one.. but thank you that should really help me!

I rented one for really cheap. I got a hospital grade pump. Maybe look into that.

you constantly make milk so even after you pump you can still put baby on the boob your body will make more milk

I have a manual lansinoh pump and a pump in style medela pump. I only manage to pump about 4 ounce or less total every time I pump. and sometimes I feed baby and then pump right after it will help boost your supply. however my baby is constantly eating.
don't worry about pumping and feeding right after baby will get milk. your constantly making milk

I looked online and found that baby r us rents them out and some other places. Just look online, I highly suggest that.
