Infamil or Similac? My mother in law bought infamil and my baby is on similac I just didn't know…

I've personally never given formular but your post makes me curious tho..

I used enfamil because that's what wic around here gives..... I also used similac before I could get it thru wic.... my son didn't have an issue with either

I prefers similac because my daughter had a reaction to enfimil.

Enfamil constipated my LO's we used Similac with both

Out of those two I prefer Enfamil. But my baby is on Gerber soy

@cheylee, what kind of reaction occurred?

@camdensmamma, she had the worst gas and rashes bad!! Her whole body was rashed up. She also spit most of it out.

@sarahdrew, @karnamarie he has an issue with spitting up so they have him on similac soy but she bought him enfamil gentlease and newborn so I am kinda confused if I should try them to see if it agrees with him better or not.. I'm a first time mom so I get confused easily

@camdensmamma I have noticed that similac seems thicker so that maybe why they want your baby to take that for spitting up since it's heavier. You can try the gentlease and see if it works for your LO.

I say it would be ok if they are similar such as; enfamil gentlease and similac sensitive, or both infant etc

@camdensmamma I agree if you find something that fits stick to it. That's what my ped said especially when babies are young so their digestive system isn't overloaded with different kinds of formula

I would talk to your pediatrician about formulas, although I've notice most will recommend Similac as its owned by big pharma and leave samples. I've used both and Similac goes right through her. When I would supplement with Similac she would be pooping it out within the hour and it would very VERY watery. We switched over to Enfamil and it sticks to her where she has gained a significant amount of weight.

Depends on what your baby likes. Enfamil made my baby extremely gassy and fussy. Similac sensitive is what I've been using since.

My son started off on newborn enfamil and was great on it, tried similac since I had it around and he hated it! He only had similac for 2 days, enfamil is what we use. We have been on enfamil gentlease since he was 3 weeks

Similac upset my sons stomach. He had really watery poop. So much that everytime he passed gas it was a poopy diaper. He's on enfamil gentalease now and it's working great
