When I was pregnant with my daughter they tested me automatically at my check in appointment as if you have strep B when baby is born it can be passed on and be very dangerous.
They don't tend to test for it but I got a swab done due to an infection and they called back with the results and told me I tested positive for B strep. Worth asking your midwife about it tho x

no not unless you need it or you have to pay for it. I had it done as my little sister unfortunately died of group b strep xx
