Society doesn't decide how you choose to live your life. Being a stay at home mom means taking care of the house and the children so I think that goes without saying. There's nothing wrong with the man/or the woman being the only bread winner and the other staying home.

I say if you can afford it do it! I am a stay at home mom for now, until all kids start school. My husband is fine with it, and wants me to be. Because I have told him I can work, and wrk while being pregnant and he says no! He likes working to take care of "our" kids! However I cook, clean, take care of the kids, wash cloths, make sure the kids get bathed, let him sleep as long as needed, keep up with appointments, and whatever else is to be done. My husband has clean clothes, clean house, and food on the table. I hate when women complain, or put others down for doing their share while the husband bust his ass! He bust his ass at work, and it's nothing but right to bust my ass at home! We are a team, and this was both of our choices! But you're right at the end, if you do stay home pick up your part of deal!

@lilkountryma, also depending on what state you live in. I know Cali you won't make it on one income, but we live in Alabama and it's possible!

@melinda89, Obviously it matters what your income is what I meant was society as in people approving or disapproving. Being a stay at home mom is looked down upon now and it ticks me off. Staying at home is a job just as much as a paying job.

@lilkountryma, lol o was agreeing with you! And it's true! If you're not an independent woman you're looked down on, but I say they don't know our pass before kids. I served six years beside my husband, and now I am a stay at home mom. I mean I have my kind of own business, but slow starting out. I mean he keeps the roof over our head, and I keep the roof clean and running. Because without both parties doing their job, the house would be a mess. Also nobody has the right to tell anyone what we can and can't do!

@melinda89, you definitely said it best. It's a relationship, therefore two people are involved. What I was getting at was, don't be a stay at home mom & sit around all day & do nothing.

@taestasia, I have always agreed with that saying! Now I have days I feel like shit, so it's a little messy. I do tell him don't worry I will get it tomorrow. I'm like you! Because he works, I feel like the house work is my job. Also @motherof4_galore that's our deal! Once this baby gets school age, because by then they all will be. I want to work AGIAN. I feel bad, and he tells me if it wasn't for me the house wouldn't look so good! Lmao so I agree with both of y'all! I don't complain about having to do my share, because at least I got all this to do. I have learned to be thankful! And all! I guess at the beginning we took it the wrong way. Lol

@melinda89, Oh I know you were! lol my text just came across wrong. I knew what she meant it just came across a little judgmental at first. I do know mom's who stay at home and don't do a damn thing and they give us hard working mom's a bad name. I also feel guilty sometimes but if I wasn't at home I wouldn't be able to care for myself or the house :)

Some men ask there wife to be stay at home moms not all house holds have to have 2 incomes society shouldn't define what other ppl do in they house because society don't pay they bills

i definitely agree. & ladies when she says two income society i think she means that the cost of living is much higher these days so in most places to live comfortably you need two incomes, or one really good one. Especially if you have kids. & like you said if youre a stay at home mom quit complaining about doing "everything" at home. Especially when your man is working a full time job.

Yes, I stay at home with my 15mo old with one on the way, other then tutoring children from my previous years as a teacher. I don't complain about house chores but my husband loves to help out. He thrives to be the best husband and father, as I do to be the best wife. We are a great team and it works very well for us. I know what you mean about people who do not work and have the nerve to complain about everyday life. Especially when those who do work need to manage it all. Financially, we are better off without paying for daycare. I've been very blessed to have my son at home and have received similar comments of "he's very well behaved. Let me guess, you stay home with?" Those moments are very gratifying:)!
