I work for USPS and part of the job description it that we have to be on our feet for our complete 8 hr shift. Excluding breaks and lunch. But our supervisor makes us take all of our breaks at once which is an hr and a half into our shift. So im basically on my feet for the last 6 hours of my shift. Back hurting. Feet hurting. Everything hurting. And my bitch of a supervisor has no consideration. We try n make our own seats to rest every once in a while and she has them removed. She knows im pregnant and has no sympathy. I dont want special treatment but wtf. Does this bitch not have a heart? There have to be some type of laws against this.

There is. You have to take a break every 2 hours I once asked my boss to let me take all my breaks at once so I could go get some food and get some studying done but he didn't let. Your actually required to take your breaks every 2 hours and lunch half way thru your 8 hour work day so you can actually report your boss and have the other workers back you up.

yes technically your supervisor cannot make u take all your breaks at once they must be spaced out. your supervisor can get in big trouble for that especially if u have any complications with your pregnancy due to the fact that u been on your feet all that time with no break.

Look at your state law in California if you work 8 hours you get two breaks and one lunch and they are supposed to be every two hours

Whats funny about that is that they told us all that during our orientation. But once we get in the building they say that the supervisors can make u take all ur breaks all at once and theres nothing u can do about it. I usually dont care but im also usually not pregnant. Such bullshit. @vitachka. And im gonna try and get a note from my doc. It shouldn't be a problem. But these ppl here always like to claim there's no light duty in this facility so i either have to do the job as is or take a leave of absence smfh. Im so over this place

@reaganmommy2015, thats the law here too but this place acts like they dont have to follow the rules. Its a government job yet they break damn near every rule

just have your OB write out a note for you for your work place. they'll have to follow it. that's what I did and I work at lowes. good luck!
