I feel like my daughter is in pain but obviously can't read her mind... I want to get Tylenol but…

Unless she has a fever (rectal temp of 100.4 or higher), she's too young for tylenol. They can usually start acetaminophen (tylenol) around 8 weeks at a dose of 1.25mg every 4-6 hours.

what's going on with her. with all four of my children my Dr allowed Tylenol for certain reasons.

what are her other symptoms? Is she eating? Peeing and pooping? My daughter was diagnosed with salmonella at 18 days old and we spent almost 3 weeks in the hospital. If you are concerned, then take her in... you can never be too careful when they're that young.

she's been crying for the last 1-1.5 hours. fussy. she does this on a daily basis and only been taking like really short naps and starts crying again. @jnh199243

I just don't want to be the parent that cries doctor but she's been extremely fussy lately, won't stop crying, naps short times, and other things.I just don't know. could she be colic? can doctors tell if she's colic? @levleah

@jasminemaye, she could be. However, extreme crying isn't normal. Colic is simply a term for unexplained crying, although it's most often associated with gastrointestinal issues such as gas. Some things that worked for us were swaddling and white noise. Search iTunes for "white noise womb sounds." i played that on repeat and it soothes my daughter

I have android. but she just cries and cries and cries and most of the time it takes awhile to calm her down and I just didn't know what else to do :( @levleah

Alright well imma say gas pains which I have had colic babies. I give my kids at that age 1 ounce of chamomile tea with a little sugar or karo

@jasminemaye, look on YouTube for it. Is it a high pitched cry/scream? I know you're hesitant, but I would take her in just to be safe. Try calling your pediatrician to see if they have an after hours nurse you can speak to

yeah it sounds like a pained cry. more powerful then a I'm hungry cry... and my towns really small so I doubt they have an after hour nurse. I'll call in morning. @levleah

@jasminemaye, it's up to you as her mother how you handle it. my way was approved by my children's Dr so I know it is safe and works. it's not like I did it without Dr permission

yea I thought it was weird the first time the Dr suggested it for my child. but after listening to my kid scream in pain I decided to try the what the Dr said and it worked
