why are women schedule inductions if they are not 40 weeks? is it only for medical reasons?

most likely yes they are

some are for medicals reasons, sometimes you can do a voluntary induction but most doctors don't allow that.

okay, thank you ladies I was just wondering.

my first was at 40 weeks due to gestational diabetes and this one now because my Dr considers me high risk due to 3 miscarriages between pregnancies.

oh okay, I was wondering because I am considered high risk because of my blood pressure but she hasn't mentioned anything about inducing me.

with my first the scheduled an induction for me because I was 37 weeks almost 38 weeks and wasn't thined out at all and didn't want to have to do a csection. I'm hoping with my little guy it'll be easier
