I was exhausted and in shock that it actually happened. It was so cool to look at him and have him looking back at me for the first time. Such a cool experience.

I was honestly numb, I don't know if it was from the adrenaline from pushing, the chaotic emotions, or from the numbing of the epidural itself but I didn't gave any emotion. I was overjoyed, shocked, amazed, just everything all into one. It took a while for it to sink in that I had a baby, that was all mine. Definitely a crazy experience.

It was all very surreal. Having that "love at first sight" moment doesn't happen immediately all the time and that's totally normal. It took a few hours for it to sink in for me. Skin to skin also helps with those emotions as well

I could stop staring at my beautiful baby boy, I wanted to constantly kiss his chubby checks. I was in love immediatel! but at the same time I couldn't beleive he was mine! all mine. I was nervous and scared. 101 emotions running through me at once. it was definitely the best day of my life though. :)
