Hello...I am 37 weeks and 3 days pregnant with my first. I have been having period cramps and contractions off and on.
I just wanted to ask if anyone ever had their membrane stripped/sweeped? Doctor stated that if I am so uncomfortable he would help get things started at 39 weeks.
Please let me know your thoughts and if you have ever been induced what did your doctor do.

full term is actually 38 weeks...not necessarily 40. so your fine. nothing wrong with getting that extra hand to help move things along..

I was induced at 38 weeks. :) I was suppose to get my membranes swept, but never made it that far. a lot of doctors do it and sometimes it works and sometimes moms have to get it done a couple times. induction isn't too bad, the contractions are just a tad bit more extreme than they'd be if you went on your own. its mainly just uncomfortable.
