okay ladies: on Wednesday March 2nd I went into the hospital to get blood work done at 5pm, stayed there until a little after midnight and got sent home. Went home and started having contractions but they weren't too bad so I kinda just went with it and dealt with them. By 6am March 3rd I couldn't take the pain anymore and I called my mom to ask her what I should do, as I'm on the phone with her, trying to figure out what I can do about the pain and had just take some Tylenol pm 500mg to try and sleep, I said "I know I didn't just piss myself!" and then the contractions got worse from there. I just kept leaking and it was warm and it happened after each contraction. As you can guess my water broke (on its own!!) and so I called a cab and went to the hospital, was all checked in by 7:30am and I was still at a 4, within about 30 minutes (if that) I was already at a 6. Begging for the epidural but they couldn't give it to me because I had to have antibiotics for gbs and an iv of fluids, thankfully they gave it to me! (I don't know why I doubted getting it, if you're debating about it, DO IT!!!) But hey I managed to get to a 6 without an epidural, so yay me! :) After I got it I was so happy to feel normal! :) they checked me every 2 hours after that and the epidural made me shake uncontrollably and I was feeling great lol I started practice pushing at 2pm and I was actually pushing because I hit a 10 at 3pm and it was difficult because my entire right leg was so dead and numb I couldn't hold it by myself. I pushed for almost 4 hours. I had to have an oxygen mask on because I was breathing really fast and baby girl wasn't getting hardly any oxygen. I could feel her head pushing against some scar tissue I have and I told my doctor that it hurt and she was like good, its supposed to and I want you to stop pushing the epidural to get more because you need to feel when you're contracting! I was in so much pain and I wanted to quit, I hadnt slept in over 24 hours and I was exhausted!! I knew in my heart that I HAD to get her out but I could feel like my skin was being stretched to its limits. I gave birth to our princess at 6:56pm March 3rd 2016. When she came out she was purple because of lack of oxygen and she wasn't crying at first. I asked if she was okay and they said yes and she started crying and I didn't know it but I had tore in 3 different places. I had 2 4th degree tears in my area and one 2nd degree tear. But all that mattered was our princess was here and she was perfect. :) 6:58pm 20 3/4in 8 pounds 4oz. I couldn't be happier :) Welcome to the world Emery Amelia. :)
