It really bothers me when I tell people I have a fetal doppler at home and they say "Oh are you really that OCD?" or "Now that's taking it too far." Like for real FYou, you didn't experience what I experienced. You didn't go to the bathroom and see blood and find out the next day your baby didn't have a heartbeat. OCD my ass! This doppler was such a great investment. It helps connect me and my husband more to this baby, it gives me peace of mind especially when I start cramping. I think I'm more ticked off by these comments cuz a coworker said it out loud in front of other people who don't know about the previous miscarriage. I didn't have to explain myself but I did, I think out of shock for such a rude comment. And this chick isn't even a mom! Grrr! 😡😡😡

Screw what other people say or think! If it gives you peace of mind, or happiness then that's for you no one else. Tell people to fuck off with the negativity. I have a recording of my sons heart beat for when I get stressed out. It gives me peace of mind. Do what makes you happy!! I think it's beautiful.

@mrs.japrabbit, i know right! I think I'm too nice.. sometimes i just don't know how to handle comments that offend me and so I explain myself because i feel like i need to. I'm a nurse so most nurses have been understanding but this nurse today was just rude and inappropriate. And I'm not even being hormonal! It was just a plain bitchy thing to say especially after I had said i had a miscarriage.

I had a nurse call me stupid and make me cry so I fired her, my doctor and am now having my son at a different hospital. I don't understand how people can be so cruel. I can't imagine losing a baby and then having someone be rude to you about it. I'm so sorry to hear that happened to you. It's a shame and you don't deserve that.

@mrs.japrabbit, thanks for the support😊 i never want anyone to go through what we went through. It's the worst feeling imaginable to lose a child. I'm sure this nurse didn't mean to offend me but it really wasn't right. I'm sorry you had a bad experience with a nurse. It takes one bad/crabby nurse to ruin the entire experience for a patient which isn't right either. I hope you have a better experience at this other hospital😊

@mrs.japrabbit, i know! but I was at a skills fair with other people around and it didn't even register how upset I was until I got home. Sometimes women like to each other down.. whether just jokingly or not. Especially in a profession dominated by women.. there's lots of different personalities and opinions to deal with.
