I changed my last name in Virginia and brought my marriage certificate and a signed letter and told them I needed to change my last name. They didn't ask for my social. I actually got my social after the fact.

Depends on the state. WA didn't require my social, but I know some states do.

@hermommy, that should be fine. If you're unsure though just call ahead or check your dmv online for info

Hmmm. The state website might list what's needed? I think that's where I found mine, but I was only changing my last name, not my full so that might be harder info to find since it's less common. You might be able to call the license office too, they'd hopefully know.

Ik when I changed my last name I had 2 show them the paperwork that Social Security gave me saying I was charging my name

yeah I'm starting with these lol i even have to get a new birth certificate😩 and call Medicaid and my other insurances oh goodness @lil_bigmama

bless ur heart it's hard dealing with all this stuff ik it took me 30 days 2 get a new birth certificate for my daughter
