has anyone else had a baby shower thrown for them? don't get me wrong it's nice for people to pay…

my mum and aunt (it's really her best friend) are throwing mine. the decorations are okay but she left the diaper raffle and where we were registered at out of the invitations.

@stephnagy2 my mom and mil are doing mine, my mom's buying all the food and mil is doing all the planning so i hope it turns out nice I just kinda wanted to do it.

my mum did everything last minute after we picked a date to do it. I was half tempted to say I would just do it all myself.

my aunt threw one when I had my son. no one touched my registry and I couldn't invite any friends. this time, my fiancés mom is throwing us one...it's on Sunday so well see

This is my first baby. My cousin is throwing me one in about 2 weeks, and my friends are giving me one mid May. I agree though, I wanted to decorate and pick out my own things, but it's nice having someone else do it. One less thing to worry about.😊

I'm getting two thrown for me my best friend asked me everything that I wanted from cake to theme. And my aunt is going throw me one that one I'm not going to have an input because she hasn't asked anything yet lol

I was worried about the same thing. My mil is throwing one for me, she isnt very creative so im sure that will be plain jane lol but i really dont mind. I wanted to throw my own at my moms house but turns out my mom & sister are throwing one and my sister is actually asking what i would like so its a win win situation there :) As long as i can have an awesome one the way i wanted then i really dont care about how the other will be. You cant atleast chose a theme?

@floress_j nobody has asked me anything I wanted or what theme I wanted so hopefully it turns out nice, since my mom's helping but only doing the food maybe I'll have her buy some stuff I like so it has to be there lol

This is my first baby also, and my mom had one for me and my dad did also. They were both beautiful and I wouldn't have changed a thing! We got most things we needed and waned based off my registry. They knew the theme because I was in the process of doing the nursery

@amandaphillips maybe since my mil is knows im doing an elephant themed nursery she will do my shower like that, im only having one so I want this one to be perfect

Yea, i'm sure your mom wont mind having your input :) After all, it is your shower. My mil tried asking about the guest list. She showed me a list & i pointed out how both me & my bf dont really have communication with some people on there & she said "well theyre family".. she didnt agree with me. Like why even ask me then? So i dont give her my input on it anymore.. she can do whatever she wants with it. If i were invited to a shower for people i havent spoke to in years i wouldnt go cause i would feel like they only want me there for my gifts lol i dont want people to feel that way about us but she didnt care so i'll let her do what she wants lol

@floress_j my mom's only doing the food part so maybe I'll just send her in with some decorations that day. my mil didn't even consult with me about the people she invited so im hoping it's not any people I don't know

Maybe ask your mom if theyre going with a theme? Moms really dont mind.. lol well i hope everything turns out good for you @cillagrace

I decided to do myne myself so i plan it and get what i want and i am just telling family if they want to help with drinks or food

@cynmoli that's what I planned on doing but my family and his kind of planned on doing it without my input

my friends and family are hosting mine but I have def been choosing specific things I want. l def want things a certain way lol
