Yeah right I would raise hell! They can't just go against your wishes like that and there's no reason they should have needed to if you were nursing fine! I would definitely talk to someone about that if I was you.

that's why I never let my baby leave my room I was too worried they would try something stupid

they did the exact same thing to me i got so mad and made a complain and the head nurse have me a lil gift basket with baby things saying sorry i was still mad though lol

I wrote it in my birth plan and didn't let my babies leave the room cuz I was scared of that very thing! Sorry that happened...you should raise hell so they know better and change their policies! So wrong they dont even ask!

they are supposed to, my hospital wanted to supplement but wouldn't until I gave the ok... it probably did upset her tummy since she is used to the colostrum and breast milk (if yours has come in).... I would definitely be telling someone... it should have been in your chart as well as hers, it was even on the little card that was in my daughters hospital bassinet

@sarahdrew, I was about to get discharged and they brought her to my room smelling like formula and puking cause it made her belly upset. I thought they had to at least ask/notify me

they gave her formula without notifying you?? that is so wrong
