I just want my child's father to sign over his rights .... He can't pay for anything, he's had several felony changes, and doesn't have the time to take care of my child ... But he doesn't seem like he wants to sign his rights over ... /:
My son's father is not on his birth certificate. They have to sign it before leaving the hospital. If not they have to go to the court house and sign it. The baby also automatically gets your last name if its not signed
You really think so ? Do I have to put his name on the birth certificate ? Or how would I do that ? @candacelouise
Oh heck yeah that will effect his time with a baby.. Drugs!? And a baby. Possibly being under the influence..? Yeah you could easily win the only supervised visits! Easily! @ccole2653
His charges were mainly for drugs ... And ya but he claims he was just gonna leave town so I doubt it'll help @candacelouise
@ccole2653, , it depends on what the charges are. But it will definitely effect it. Plus isn't he the one about those texts last night? You could always show those! Texts and Facebook now hold up as substantial evidence in court.
But idk if they'll look at it that way .. And that's my biggest fear ... I feel like they will say he still has rights to her and can have her over whenever @candacelouise
Yeah I feel the same way! @ccole2653 at least your "dad" has charges so court will see that as an unfit parent. Mine doesn't :/ I don't think. I will be able to stop him from seeing him alone.
I don't mind him seeing her but I refuse to leave her alone with him .... @candacelouise
Well all he can sign over is visitation rights unless you have someone who is willing to adopt your baby! @ccole2653 but... If you don't want him seeing your baby in sure his charges will easily make him not suitable parent to have any kind of alone time with an infant or child.
No you do not have to put the father in the birth certificate. What she said ^ for them to even be in there they have to sign and be there at the hospital while filling out the forms @ccole2653
