Is it rude to not want anyone at the hospital?

I was just informed that my MIL wants to be waiting at the hospital so as soon as I pop out the baby she can rush in to be with the baby. I am really a private person and dont really want anyone at the hospital when I give birth (except my husband). I was planning on calling all the family to come to the hospital once I was all cleaned up and ready for visitors. Am I being rude? Been thinking a lot how do I tell my family I dont want them at the birth of my daughter they all assume they will be there and havent had the energy to argue with them about it but I really just want me and my babys father. wish my family would understand that.
