Debating whether to put shoes on my little one until at least 2/3 years

my daughter didn't wear shoes until we started letting her down to walk and hold our hands in stores when her chubby tail got to heavy to carry. newborns with shoes look ridiculous to me. and it's a waste of money plus it makes it hard to change their diapers.

@nicemmcha2015 I'm not talking about a newborn I'm talking about when's she's 3/4 I would hope she'd be walking by then.

From experience when they start pulling up and taking steps/ walking by holding on to stuff is the best time to start. It strengthens their ankles to have better stability if they have on hightop shoes. Just from working with kids mainly babies for 12 years

my daughter just got her first pair about a month ago when she started walking more. she only wears them when we leave the house...I think I read somewhere that not having shoes on can help better their balance when they can feel the floor more. I made the mistake of buying shoes when she was a newborn...1st they never stayed on lol and 2nd it made it difficult to do diaper changes

oh well, thank you but that's my opinion I'm sure I'll do walking shoes but she won't have them on 24/7 they mess up feet. @34466

@hermommy, yeah I know. I'm just saying if they aren't walking it's pointless to fool with shoes. my kid didn't start walking good until 14 months and then after they learn it takes a while before they can walk properly in them.

@eskawho that's what I'm talking about it messes up their balance and changed the shape of our feet, there are studies proving it. I most definitely won't by newborn shoes

@nicemmcha2015 yeah I know that my intent wasn't to buy shoes for a good while it's stupid to put shoes on a newborn that can't walk

There's no judgement love just saying I have seen alot with my own kids and others. And obviously you wouldn't keep shoes on a baby 24/7 that's not realistic.

You mean mainly around the house or will she be walking through stores and places like that without shoes?

not stores but like playing out side yes, she will be barefoout as long as it's not cold @sexxymama83
