I have a question for mamas who have breastfed more than one child or that has been breastfeeding longer than I have (almost 5 months for me).... how often should my 5 month old be nursing? she goes 6-7 hours at night but I've been sticking to the 4 hours during the day and she doesn't eat much, should I start stretching it to maybe 4 1/2? I'm going to call my lactation consultant this afternoon (she is at lunch currently lol).... I just don't want to be trying to force her if she isn't hungry

we nurse on demand. and sadie is 9 months plus we do solids. so when she gets fussy I try to breastfed her. usually not more than 3 or 4 hours go by when she doesn't want to nurse except at night

ok thank you.... I nurse her when she gets fussy, after I've changed her diaper of course lol, and she sometimes nurses for like 5 minutes total, I guess she is eating enough because her diaper count is good and she is gaining weight plus she does usually go about 4 hours each time except at night..... thank you @steph11
