I'm still having a hard time coming to terms with the fact that I have gestational diabetes. I kind of know what I have to do to get ahead of this. But I won't be able to speak with a nutritionist until next Friday when they do a growth scan of our little girl. Then I go an see another dietitian/nutritionist on the 15th. It was hard shopping last night with my husband not really knowing what's good sugar and what's bad sugar and how much sugar I should be having each day. Ugh I am one unhappy momma !!!

I was diagnosed with GD 3 weeks ago and my case it's really mild at first I didn't know what to do but I did a lot of research online and saw a nutritionist yesterday. You have to check your blood sugar at least 4 times a day you need 3 healthy meals and 3 healthy snacks. Breakfast needs to be small no juice no cereal you can do an omelette with veggies and 1 slice of wheat toast 😊 snacks can be cheese, crackers, fruit, Greek yogurt even granola bars just stay away from white bread, rice and pasta because they have so much carbs and of course sweets also drink water and try to exercise nothing crazy maybe just walking for 15-20 min i was really sad at first but now I am more positive and the most important baby is healthy 😊
