@t142, I definitely don't want to be packing on the lbs like I did my last pregnancy, but I also don't want to starve myself, any tips for a steady slow gain?
Try eating small portions of the bad stuff. And loads of fruits and veggies. What helps me is that I crave a lot of fruit already. Loads of water too! In the morning I do some type of smoothie with almond milk and frozen fruits adding one tablespoon of peanut butter. Then around noon I have my lunch an hour after I eat a snack - crackers with cheese, yogurt or fruit. Sometimes it's hard and I just say "screw it" but I always try.
I was then I stopped. You have to be healthy for you and baby. So eatting fruits and veggies, nuts and whole grains coupled with walking even if window shopping is good for you!! try eatting snacks that are healthy, popcorn, nut bars, apples etc. that will help curb your cravings and give you more of a balance. I also love smoothies, they are sold everywhere now days!
Literally always. I've always had a problem with my weight and have fluctuated greatly over the past few years. I was just in the mind set to slim down when I found out I was pregnant! But I'm working on eating healthier for my baby and making sure I'm eating enough! The health of my baby is my number one concern right now as soon as he or she gets here then I'll worry about it then! Easier said then done haha. I try to eat fruit and protein and things that are good for you and that fill you up. I usually eat a peanut butter and banana sandwich for lunch with some snacks that holds me over for dinner. I do allow myself one small bowl of ice cream a night! It's my craving and I can't help it haha
thanks @t142, @expectingz, @katielee5897, @kschneider6, and @ms.jones!!!! I'm trying the fill up with fruits and veggies approach and taking a walk with my toddler daily or every other day, but I still worry! I hope we all have success in low weight gain during our pregnancies!!
