how do you guys feel about delaying baby's first bath until he/she is a couple days old? has anyone…

We waited for his first submerged bath until his cord fell off his belly button. But we wiped him down with a washcloth before that.

I'm doing that, I'm going to rub the vernix into her skin. They're born with it for a reason in my opinion:)

we plan to delay! 🙋 we will probably wipe down creases like under the neck but that's about it until the cord falls off

I was in the hospital for 2 days and we didn't bathe her that time. We wiped her down with soap and water avoiding the cord once we got home . Once her cord fell off we still waited a few more days before submerging her into water .

we are leaning towards waiting also. I'm just afraid of giving the first bath alone at home. @alyen2 @hermommy @lovemeseaux @marieterrell92

You'll do great , idk if you plan to buy a little baby tub or wash in the sink, but just don't fill the water all the way up, they're not that dirty, the bath will be easy and shouldn't take that long lol Baby may cry which could freak you out, but the bath has to get done eventually, they'll be alright

my first babies bath I did a sponge bath because I was so nervous. it went great. if you are having a boy keep a towel or something over his stuff cus they will pee without warning and it will be everywhere lol.
