Idk if this is the beginning of mastitis or not, but my boobs have shooting pains in them down the sides and sometimes in the nipple. The pains shoot up my shoulders and down my stomach as well. I never had mastitis before but my boobs are also really, really sore, and they almost feel bruised. I do breast feed and pump. Anyone have any idea what this could be?

Do you feel like you have flue symptoms? Mastitis usually has flue symptoms or if not you could have clogged ducts!

sounds like a clogged duct. are there any hard spots on your breast? if so it's a clogged duct and they hurt but mastitis made my breast look and feel bruised with shooting pain.

I had that while our little guy was in NICU too. I think mine was a clogged duct, I could feel the hard spot where it was. I pumped that side longer than the other and always started little man on that side to dislodge it. if it is mastitis, your breast(s) may become red streaked and hot to the touch also.

Sounds like. Hot showers, message, rest & pump pump pump, if it get full blown you will need meds & that could dry your milk up, o take like a heating pad or something (I used hand warms) shove it in your bra after 10 mins message it then repeat

if you get them while pumping or feeding it sounds like your let down. I have a super painful let down it goes up into my arm pit then into my ribs everytime
