Moms and moms to be again, I'm being induced in less then 24hrs, what should I expect? All I know is what my dr said which is he was going to ease me into my contractions and use a balloon. I'm already dilated to between a 1 and 2cm. And 30-41% effaced. I'm more nervous since I don't know what to expect so any help or advice would be helpful! Thanks in advance!

Subsequent labors are quicker because your body knows what's it doing now. So hopefully once they get things started won't be very long and baby will be here!

The balloon is uncomfortable going in and youre going to cramp like crazy. It only took about 4 hours to go from 1cm and thick to 3cm and 50% and then they broke my water and I pretty much immediantly went to 4.5cm. I'm guessing to ease into contractions they'll use pitocin and just ease it up slowly. If you're going to get an epideral I would wait as long as possible because it can slow down labor especially when using pitocin.

If your already dilated some the bulb will help get you to a 3 or 4. it may be a lil quicker than it was for me, but like @karnamarie said your body knows what it's doing so it may go super quick. it took me like 4 or 5 hours to get dilated using the bulb BUT I was barely 1cm. I was probably in between half a cm to 1 cm dilated. so I'm sure it'll go much quicker for you and if it's not your first baby it most likely will go faster, it usually does (or so I'm told I don't know personally but it has with my mom n my sister in laws they all had 3 each n each was faster than the one before) once the bulb dilated you it goes pretty quick afterwards
