i got the big stuff, crib, play pen, carseat before the shower and waited to see what i still needed after.

A lot of the big stuff was given to me used by friends/family. I added what I still need to my registry and after my shower I'll just buy everything that wasn't given to me as a gift!

I was thinking of doing that. I'm having twins so I'm trying to find things that arnt so expensive but are still good quality @pixiestix

my best advice is look on craigslist, facebook yardsale groups and goodwill! lol baby stuff is very easy to come by on those groups it seems.

I got some stuff, but most of my big stuff I got at my shower, my mom bought the crib, my grandma my big pack n play, my mil bought my bassinet... if you don't think you will get those items at the shower by all means shop now mama

@kellynicole, I have some friends at work that have a lot of baby boy clothes but I think the only thing my family has is a high chair from my 3 year old cousin lol...I think we'll have to buy most of the big stuff ourselves.

only thing i wouldnt buy used is carseats. you dont know if they have been in a wreck and what condition the base may actually be in from sitting in the car from the weather changes. walmart has some pretty good inexpensive carseats though!

haha you'll get it all before they're born. don't stress yourself over it! no need for unneeded stress!
