has anyone bleached their whole head while pregnant so that they could dye their hair a lighter…

i bleached mine. i waited until my 2nd trimester, then had my mom do it. sat there with the windows wide open so i wasnt sitting there breathing in all the chemicals

Beware. All the hormones can make your hair react differently to some colors. I wouldn't do anything drastic like that because you never know how hormonal hair will respond. Just my 2 cents.

@emeliaday, I've read about that also so that's definitely another factor to consider

@jderr220, I believe as long as the salon is well ventilated you would be fine. But my skin is also super sensitive so the bleach may burn you more. Highlights can be fun too :)

@emeliaday, I got highlights already 😕 it sucks because I literally dyed it dark like 4 days before I found out I was pregnant and it ended up being darker than I wanted....so I haven't liked it since the beginning haha. I keep looking at older pictures and I miss my natural, dirty blonde hair 😔

I'm a hair dresser and I do it, it's fine. dont listen to her

@jderr220, I feel your pain. Hate when you aren't happy with your hair. Your stylist can always text a spot on your hair - my hair completely changed in the second trimester. I did a bunch of high and low lights in my hair and it just didn't pull as light but didn't turn out bad. My hair grows so darn fast I needed to get it as close to my natural as I could bc it's growing 2 inches a month 😳😳. @summerbaby89 everyone's hair is different u should know that as a stylist. We are all just sharing our 2 cents. No ones word is gospel and I trust her to make whatever decision she is comfy with.

I wasn't talking to you I meant not to listen to the hairdresser and yes as far as texture, density, porosity, sensitivity, our hair is all different but that doesn't mean any one person is more or less likely to harm the baby, as far as that goes, it does not, that is my main point, we'll ventilated area and you're good
