OK. so with my son I never felt normal natural contractions. my water broke and they put me on patocin and I felt those contractions. then had the epidural. with this pregnancy I want to sort of be prepared. does anyone know what they feel like? I feel weird at times kind of like I'm neasuous. can anyone help me out? tia

They start out feeling like your whole stomach is getting really tight and then it slowly loosens. Those are painful, just a bit uncomfortable. Active labor for me felt like period cramps, but a hundred times more intense. I had a really fast labor (I had her within 15 mins of getting to the hospital with zero pain meds), but those end contractions are pretty intense if you choose not to have any pain meds.
