So sad that kaiser doesn't offer to pay for water births 😭😭💔 so now it's pointless if a midwife takes insurance 😕😩
Oh sorry! I thought you had said San Diego but you said Cali oops. @loveaboveall
Wait what? My hubby doesn't work in San Diego lol and yea so expansive :/@coltroyalsmama1224
@loveaboveall, Oh nice (: my hubby had 5 deployments but we met after his last one in Afghan. I have mixed feelings about missing the deployments though... happy cuz I know it's tough but heartbreaking because my husband never had anyone waiting for him when he returned. :-/ that's great that he's found a good job tho in San Diego (: I miss Cali but it's too expensive for us.
@coltroyalsmama1224, yeah do did my hubby! He was done. He deployed once to afghan and that was it..
he was afraid of deploying so he denied re-enisting. having a family in the military with deployments would've been tough.
what a small world lol (: we miss it sometimes but couldn't stay in any longer when we found out we were pregnant.
@coltroyalsmama1224, my hubby did all four in camp Pendleton and his brother did some in NC :)
seriously?! I hate how hard it is to have a water birth :-(
oh really?! well thank him for his service ♡ how long was he in for? @loveaboveall
@coltroyalsmama1224, I know and yes exactly so what's the issue, you know !? Lol
such a bummer for us mommies who want a water birth so bad! 3 hardly anyone in here post about it! I hope you get the birth you want tho. (: hopefully you can at least find a place that at least will let you labor in the tub. it's funny cuz water births are one of the cheapest ways of delivering
I miss Cali, I was born and raised in San Diego County (: we moved out of state when my hubby got out of the USMC. His work insurance is the same way, apparently we had missed the enrollment period when he first started working there :-/ I've heard tho that even with the deductible your still paying for most of it anyways.
@coltroyalsmama1224, yes 2k to 5k here too! More or less lol I'm in California and for his job you can only switch insurance every October (if they even had one that covered water births ) sighs!
@preg_bunny, no it's different :( cuz he works for the county sheriffs department and you can only switch every October
water births down here are just crazy expensive! anywhere between 2k-5k!
yeah I'm having the same problem :-( I had my son in WI where state insurance covered everything for the midwife and water birth. but in AZ they are a pain in the ass! I've only found two places that are affordable and they are 2 hours away from me :-/ but the hospital my midwife delivers at is hoping to allow water births soon! hopefully before my baby is born! :'/ it's so frustrating :'/
@coltroyalsmama1224, cuz I was trying to do a home birth or at a birth center but it's so expensive :( and we are already in debt and ugh totally crying right now 😭😭😭💔💔💔
I think it's still open enrollment for insurance, you can look into switching maybe?
@coltroyalsmama1224, I did but the birth centers charge too much and the home birth midwives charge $3000 :(
@coltroyalsmama1224, lol it's okay
