It depends upon your job and if they give you leave. This is showing what the government gives women. Government here doesn't give you anything nor is there a certain alloted amount of time given off. Legally the job does have to hold your job for so many weeks but that's all. @noemysmom

This is definitely accurate. No companies are required to give PAID maternity leave in the USA. FMLA is unpaid. So sad.

definitely accurate, as far as some places around the US. here some places aren't "required" to give you any paid amount of leave, where others will give you up to a year of leave. We suck as far as that aspect goes! I don't even work and I think that's crap.

My job does 6 weeks paid but saves my job up to 12 weeks 😊

I wish I had the luxury of my job doing that @marissamiller which is why I have to go back immediately. @their.bomb.ass.mom some even have the paternity leave. Daddies deserve a few weeks with new baby too. @alyen2 it is sad. At least they have to hold your job for a certain amount of weeks.

I live in a super small town and there's zero opportunity here and nothing but barely above minimum wage jobs. So no one here offers anything like that.

@jacesterlingsmommy, I work for a huge company (State Farm corporate offices) I'm assuming that's why. But they have work from home positions and pay well with great benefits if you're looking.

Germany has a year paid.
