ok so I got a piercing today, but I didn't know that they recommend you not to get it while pregnant…

The only reason they recommend not getting one while you're pregnant is because they reject really easily especially surface piercings those reject Easily anyway but being pregnant your body might reject it even faster

Surface piercings have a way of rejecting out of your skin which means they push out of your skin and tear through your skin until they are completely through Google rejecting surface piercing but be warned the images might get nasty

They migrate until the piercing moves away from the piercing site

Infections, swelling, etc are common ways your body rejects a piercing

Also fair warning even if you take the absolute best care of your piercing it probably will reject within two years being as it's a surface piercing especially one on your face

Your piercer really should have told you that all surface piercings especially one on your face reject

@ryannsmommy even if you take good care, if your body won't accept a piercing it will do anything to get it out

Mine rejected (which I knew it would) and left a little ugly scar on my face 😢

That's the thing , surface piercings reject NO MATTER WHAT ! Lol it will love .. They're cute , but won't last

my sister got one done n it rejected

I've had over 27 piercings, 4 of them being surface piercings all 4 rejected within 8 months. Now as a certified piercer I won't do them. If you really want a piercing there get a dermal or microdermal piercing

Take really good care of it cause when pregnant you can get infected a lot easier if it becomes red and swollen and looks infected I'd take.it out so it does tear and scar you. your body can reject a piercing without being pregnant but I'd watch for signs of your body rejecting it cause if your body rejects it it will tear your skin and scar you my belly button piercing was rejected by my body twice I have 2 ugly scars now
