I'm really considering just giving my baby girl my last name , but I don't want to offend my boyfriend I just feel as though he should earn the honor of her having his last name & honestly he hasn't ... 😔 this is one of those talks that I don't want to have but I need to .

I'm right there with you. I know my bd will be in his life but he's completely disrespected me my entire pregnancy & I honestly don't think he deserves the honor for my son to have his last name

@katierouleau21, it's hard and frustrating but it's like what do you expect ? Just because you're the dad doesn't mean I have to give my baby your last name . Lbs it would be different if were married

it's understandable, and you should do how you feel. some people don't fully understand this kind of situation. I'm thinking of not giving my bd last name. I feel like hell be there but than idk and we haven't been getting along much, plus my daughter has my last name. it's a lot, do what's best for you and your child.

I have my moms last name, and she technically was married to my "sperm donor", as she so fondly calls him, at the time. You do what feels best for you. He can always adopt her if he changes his act (:

I've been with my hubs for 9 years. We had our first at 16 and I gave him my last name because I didn't know if we would last. our second at 18 and he broke up with me so of course my name. our 3rd has my last name because he was still earning back my trust. and now that everything is good with our 4th he filed paperwork for name changes and this one will get his name right off the bat
