@kerriann15, I'm not sure why your midwife would tell you it's okay. Castor oil is meant to make you poop and if it does that to you it can do it to your baby and if baby poops in utero baby will ingest the poop. That can kill your baby. Please I advice you to IGNORE your midwife.

Do you want to risk your babies life based on what your midwife says? My doctor also told me I could wait until around 8 am to come to the hospital. If I had my baby wouldn't have lived. Let baby come via induction or when baby is ready. I was over a week late.

Your baby can get sick and die from injesting meconium... plz don't do it. The only scientifically proven way to kick-start labor is nipple stimulation.
