well technically it's both (eczema is dry skin, it's just super super dry skin... I've had it all my life ) I would try eucerin lotion or the aveeno for eczema lotion. and see if that helps... also bring it up at next appointment
I tried the aveeno and it made my son worse that's why I took him to his doctor and asked about it and she said since babies skins are really sensitive you have to be cautious what you put on & how much to put You might need a prescribed cream like I got. Also she recommended doves unscented for sensitive skin & to put baby oil on his skin after the bath and before drying

My son has the same thing and just found out it is eczema my doctor prescribed 2 1/2 percent hydrocortisone and it worked within a day
