Can IHSS Workers Be Replaced During Maternity Leave?
I was an IHSS worker for my aunt and while on maternity leave a week after my baby was born she replaced me. I Really wish the law applied to ihss. She told me she didn't like how I had Dr apt once a week and was already showing up late but when I got there she would still be asleep. Later she told me after I asked to work a few days when I was off maternity leave so I could have money to pay my bills she told me it wasn't her responsibility to make sure I had money for my bills.....mind you she was my employer.... WTF idiot and for family to leave you submit a job and money for your new baby is fucked!!!!!!

It's normal.. I felt that way. Yesterday I said to my husband I felt like I was going to have a melt down because I'm so over being pregnant. I feel so huge and I want my bladder back!!! The end gets worse I'm sorry to say! Try to distract yourself with setting up the nursery or shopping 👍🏼 and pamper yourself my mom always invites me for a mani pedi like once a week now. I stayed busy with my registry and getting the house ready. 😊@mhaley1223

@kiss3sfroml33, I'm in the same boat with you. I was a hospice caregiver and did all of my clients personal bookkeeping too. Her family practically promised that I could come back and not even two weeks after I left they moved her to a board and care because it was too much to take care of themselves.

That seriously sounds almost identical to what happened! You leave knowing you have a job to come back to then poof it's gone and they don't even talk to you about it they just do it!!@myliltadpole1116

@mhaley1223, yup.. And then the state screwed me on disibility.. They wouldn't and still don't recognize her as my employer so I'm getting paid 18 a day..
