@adrianamead, I worked at a daycare here in California and it depends on the age of the child and if they are full time or part time. But it was between $400-$600 per month unless you needed just a few hours a couple days a week then it was $5-$7 per hour.

I teach preschool in a larger daycare center. the rate for daycare is $5/hour! more for preschool enrollees. We are on the higher end though
