How early can you get your first ultrasound? Do they usually do one at the first appointment or do they do it later?

Its torture for me right now. My family doctor does not take care of pregnant women anymore so they had to refer to another doctor and Ive been waiting almost a week for them to call me and tell me when my first appointment is. Haha. And thank you! :)
