I hadnt either until we got prego..but I try to ignore it..they're stuck in the past...that's okay, I'm focusing on our future :)

@alynna9684, @deafmama16 what's even worse is that the guy said it in Spanish to my boyfriend, thinking my boyfriend would just agree with saying he should find himself a Mexican girl instead of some gringo. It's not even the fact that he said it about me I just never want my child to experience that sort of negativity because people are so ignorant.

you just have to teach them that its okay if people don't always like them or if the judge them. not everyone in the world is going to like them and that's okay. be true to who they are and who they want to be. they may experience bad eggs along the way, but they will find people worth their while.

@alynna9684, yeah you're right, it's just sad to have to explain that to your children. @goodbyelullaby my boyfriends sister would have friends over and a few of them would give me funny looks. I just don't understand why people can't be happy that other people are happy no matter what race their SO is. Happiness can be really hard to find with so much negativity so when you do find it its worth even more.

@crazytoast I know. we aren't the first interracial couple where we live. it's crazy
