Yes, this is my fault, but just let me rant. So, this dude I dated for like a month over 2 years or so ago (we remained passive friends) asked me to sit down with him and listen to his sales shpeel because he got a job as a retirement advisor, or money management advisor, or some bullshit. Basically "pay me to manage your money". So, I humored him, sat down with his manager and him, and they immediately stopped the conversation when they found out I'd be a stay at home mom and wanted to meet my fiance after finding out how much he made. After the meeting, he called and I told him thanks but no thanks. You're not going to shut down the conversation because it's not me making the money when I'm the gate keeper to my fiance. He apologized and asked if we could set something up later down the line, I told him maybe in February then just ended our conversation. Every week it seems like, he texts to "check up on me" then gives me the whole "I know you're busy, but now is the time to start planning for retirement and you're future goals" blahblahblah. Dude, go walk off a cliff. My fiances parents retired early and the perks of his job are going to allow him to do that as well. Even if we were interested in wealth management, I sure as fuck wouldn't be paying my ex to do it for me. Someone play my fiance and tell him were already retired and in Tihiti, so no need to bother anymore
