they do it around 28 weeks I believe. you gotta drink this straight sugar drink and wait however long they tell you and get blood drawn and they test for gestational

If you fail the glucose screening test (which is an hour long) you have to take the glucose tolerance test, which is usually 3 hours. But if your blood sugar is really high during the screening you'll be diagnosed with gestational diabetes.
The glucose test is when you drink this sugary liquid, and an hour later they check your sugar. The drank is not that bad, just up and chug, that's what I don't three times. The doctor I am at with this does the fruit punch one. Then if you fail it a three hour wait.

My doctor said they do 2 during pregnancy. I got my first one at 6 weeks and I do it again at 28 weeks.
