Pretty disappointed after reading what happens when you try and induce a closed difficult cervix,…

girl at 38 weeks I was in the same boat.... I was scheduled for a c-section anyway but my cervix was still closed and thick.... a c-section is still giving birth, just in a different fashion is all, I know how you feel tbo,with my first I wasn't even allowed to go into labor due to a complete placenta previa that didn't move.... I also felt like a failure (I didn't have this app then so I didn't have anyone to talk to except my husband and one friend.... she old me that ask long as my baby was breathing and healthy then I gave birth.... same holds true for you, as long as you get that baby here safely, it's healthy and breathing then with God as my witness you gave birth mama... don't look at a c-section as a failure look at it as you have a different birth story, that's what I do.... always remember this (I have stated it but I want to say it again): YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE!!! With my first I wanted to at least try to give birth vaginally because that's all you hear about. I hadn't dilated past one after having the cervadil and the pitocin and already knew I might have to have an emergency c-section, but after being hooked up all night and all morning with no progress my baby was in distress and I had to get an emergency c-section. @rylansmomma I wish I was strong and as smart as you back then because I had to be fully under sedation and I missed my baby's first hours of life and wasn't able to hold him immediately or feed him first. With my other two pregnancies I embraced it and was able to be awake and see all that was happening with my babies. You are strong and not a failure.

I know how you feel. You arent a failure i look at it as my body is great for the pregnancy and stuff but the delivery i need a little help with. I went 40+4 and i was sick of feeling sick and depressed and having no appetite. Having a c section is not failing at birth trust and believe me i was in labor 30 plus hours and if i wouldnt have the c section i moght have lost my son. His heart rate had dropped from 150 to 60 bps and i knew that in order to save my child i would have to put my life on the line. Your baby will still love you the same so dont worry momma your not a failure and it could happen to relax pray and breathe!

This is my 4th and I'm closed up tight too. The doctors don't really know so don't give up. With my babies I never dilated early only when I went into labor at a week and few days over due. When it's time your body will do what it's supposed to don't be discouraged.

I was closed and thick the day before I went into labor. the cervix is not a crystal ball! Dr's induce because it is more convenient for them. ugh watch the business of being born. @rylansmomma
