So honestly I need to rant. I'm a white woman with a black man. And for those who don't understand how heritage works most people are mixed in one way or another nowadays anyways. But people still look at the shade of skin and judge and I'm over it! I don't care who you love. Black love is beautiful, white love is beautiful, Asian love, interracial love. LOVE period is a gorgeous thing and the children that get made because of it are amazing no matter what pigment of skin they have what color their eyes are or what their hair is like! My child will know they are beautiful. not just because they have black heritage or because they have white heritage but because they're beautiful simply for being themselves. I'm tired of the labels and the hate and sometimes I just want to take my husband my child and myself and run away from the ignorance!

Oh I will. and I'll also teach my child to never be ashamed of either color. To never apologize for his father's heritage or mine. that people are more than skin. @torrilove14
yea that's true, an innocent child has to endure such stupidity. but that's when it starts at home teaching your child to love no matter what. it's really sad honestly,I can understand the frustration @lilkountryma
@torrilove14, I usually do. People will always judge it just saddens me that people can be so full of hate. And it saddens me for my child as well
you said it, it's ignorance... sorry to say you can't escape it unfortunately but only thing that matters is that you all are happy....ppl have options about everything that isn't their business..just ignore it.
@proudmama0407, Definitely certain areas and certain people. Most the time I just ignore it or laugh at people's bitterness but other days it gets to me
I definitely agree with you @lilkountryma I'm mixed as well and I lived in California where it's a melting pot of different cultures so no one really looks at you differently when you're mixed or in a mixed relationship. Since we've moved here, I've been noticing a lot more bigotry and it really surprised me. It's 2016 I always thought we were further along than that but I guess certain areas really are stuck with that mindset, and that's really sad.
