Ladies not baby related but I just have to rant for a minute! I know this girl who is donating a kidney to her father (which is such an amazing thing, I'm not trying to down that.) insurance is paying for the whole thing but she will be out of work for about six weeks.... basically the same amount of time I'm going on maternity leave. she started a go fund me, is having fundraisers left and right and wants my work to donate the giving fund to her.... all while she continues to go to basketball games, movies, shopping, the bar. something different every freaking day. it's so annoying! she's known for at least a year and hasn't saved a penny and now wants everyone to pay for everything. I'm busting my ass to get everything I need for my child and get money saved up for leave. I just hate lazy ass people who think they are entitled to everything. lol sorry just had to get that off my chest

that is wrong she should have saved... if she knew that far in advance there is no reason for her to be asking for money.... if people are donating maybe the money should be given directly to her bills (get a cashiers check made out by the bank to the electric company etc) so that they know the money is going to what it's supposed to be going to.... you are doing a great job mama by thinking ahead, I am by no means condoning what she is doing but there will always be people who are willing to donate to such people

her go fund me alone has almost 2000 bucks in a month... which I think is more than enough to live on for six weeks but she raised it to 10k and is still holding other fundraisers. and the thing is she actually has all these people telling her how she's a gift from God and an angel.... she's always been the kind of person to take handouts but it just seems like this time it's way too far. cashing in on her sick father is nuts!

The two situations are completely different. I understand how it's frustrating, but she's literally giving up an organ to save the life of the one who gave her life. Giving birth and giving an organ are two completely different things.

I never said I wanted donations. I have way too much pride to ever take anything and I'd rather do it myself.... what makes me mad is she's asking for all this money and still living a frivolous life. it's wrong.
