Is having your cervix checked the same pain as a Pap smear or no ? Maybe tmi but my SO is African…

In my opinion getting checked doesn't hurt. All I feel is pressure.

they go up further in you its more uncomfortable then anything

No its not like the pap...it's a little pressure but no equipment just the doctors hand.

I've been checked 4 times already and haven't had any bleeding but my doctor said spotting after is normal. It doesn't hurt, just pressure. I was scared the first time because everyone said it hurts really bad but it doesn't.

no you should be fine...lol especially considering your "at home" situation hahahahaha

yeah it really isnt bad neither was labor I tore not to bad but I never felt pain it was more pressure he was exactly 7 lbs it only took me 20 min of pushing

mines was extremely uncomfortable, especially since the doctor didn't use just hands to check me. Personally, I hate getting a pap smear but I do it because I have to.....at least once a year. 😩
