I think Amira is a beautiful name. Who in the world would even relate a child's name to something so perverse? That's almost as bad as people getting up in arms about breast feeding pictures or cute bathtime photos. It not like you're naming her anything inappropriate. If you want to find a new name that's totally up to you. But I would tell people to eff off! It's a beautiful and sentimental name.

I've never actually met someone with that name, let alone a "ghettoling" lol. My ex mother in law had a beautiful Arabian horse named Amira. So when I think of the name Amira I think of a proud, steadfast, wild spirit. I think it's a very strong name :)
