ladies. I've seen alot of post lately questioning about what to do about baby dad's that haven't been apart of the pregnancy.... should I let them in the room. should I change her name to what I want. should I let the baby have his last name should I meet him sign the birth certificate.... I'm going to put this simply.
if a man cannot step up and be a Dad during your pregnancy or feels they can be in and out of your life and not even check on the babies progress. then no you do not allow them in the room. you name you baby what u want to and you do not give that man what he wants. trust me. my son was due 12-26-2011 me and his father broke up when I was six months pregnant he even told me not to tell him when the baby was born he didn't care. but out of kindness and because I listened to other people I told him when I went into labor 11-24-11. and then allowed him in the room. I then followed that by letting him sign the birth certificate... when he did that he changed my son's last name to his when I was asleep and turned in the paperwork. after that I didn't see him for FOUR YEARS!!! other than court. now I have to go they a name change for my son, and go thru the long process of getting his rights signed over to my husband.
kids do not deserve halfway parents. and halfway parents don't deserve to be legal full term parents or around. it just harms the child emotionally.

Dang he's an ass. I gave my daughter my so last name (we weren't together at the time) because I knew he was gonna be in her life,

yup well when you absolutely know they are going to be in the child's life. then go for it. but people put themselves in this position. I was 16 when I had my son I'm 21 now. I had to grow up super fast and work three jobs which in turn forced me to drop out of college so that I could make money. because he refused to pay any child support. or help in any form or fashion. my biggest regret is letting him sign that birth certificate.
