Help! 37 Weeks with unbearable, sharp pains in my right butt cheek! Has anyone else gone through this? What do I do? it has had me in tears a couple of times tonight!

@sealion, it just started bad this past week. I'm assuming that's what it is, I'll have to try and remember to ask my doctor at my next appointment.

Mine started hurting extremely early in pregnancy and I had prior back problems. I'm not sure if it's been proven too but I did have prior back problems. @taylornelson

hmm im not sure. i didnt have any back problems before i got pregnant, but sometimes the pain is worse/better depending on where baby is laying...maybe try taking it easy, and ask your doctor at your next appt what they think! @taylornelson

Does having previous back problems affect this? I'm only 9 weeks so I'm not showing but I've had shots in my spine for herniated disks and that spot, my lower right back, along with my right butt cheek now bothers me badly. It becomes worse after I work or exercise. @sealion @babystump16 @mommy.of.2.

@babystump16, @sealion That's what I assumed! I've heard people talk about how bad it sucks, but this REALLY SUCKS! Chasing my toddler has gotten much harder being as I can't move with this stabbing pain in my ass!

It sounds like the sciatic nerve. I've gone to the hospital because I was shaking in response to the pain. A warm bath and sometimes a heating pad. They will help ease it sometimes. But usually I can't get rid of mine. I have to endure it momma.
