hey ladies, i hit 40 weeks tomarrow, normally you see your doc 1 more time before u hit the 40, but the lady at the front desk sched me wrong and the only open date she could fit me in was on friday, the day after my due date. but im curious to know what happens in that last appt before your due date? does she check you to see if your dilated?

they'll set you up for a following apt of few days later to talk about inducing and for monitoring. they may do an ultrasound to check amniotic fluid
i had a appointment 12days before my due date and she checked me for dilation and scheduled another appointment after my due date incase the baby hasn't came and scheduled an induced date also. but my baby came 2 days after her due date.
Yes they will check you and probably set you up to be induced.
